What can you expect from Starlight Arcade?

We are a family owned and operated gaming arcade on the Kapiti coast. Starlight Arcade was born from years of frustration with the lack of easily accessible entertainment especially for kids and teenagers in the area, coming from our own childhood boredom in Paraparaumu. We were given the opportunity to change that and we’ve been running with it ever since. With a focus on fun, a safe place to hang out with family and friends and as many of the coolest prizes we can get our hands on. We hope you love it as much as we do!

How it Works

Tokens are $2, every game plays on one token but some games give multiple plays, eg. Cyclone gives 5, small claw machine gives 2. Foosball is free and Pool Tables are $2 coins until 7pm on Sundays when they are set to free for pool night.

Hire

The arcade is now available to hire out before 12pm on open days and between 10am and 10pm on off days, with different rates for personal and business requests.

Personal: $5 per person per hour

Business : below is the price per person per hour. Minimum of 10 people required. Every hour after the first is half price.

10-20 people $20

20-30 people: $15

30+ people: $10

Games!

We have a whole host of arcade games to play, from Tekken to Mario Kart and Daytona. We have Dark Escape, Dance Dance Revolution, Star Wars Battlepod and classics like Air Hockey, Crane Games, Alley Rollers and even pool tables, plus much much more.

Tickets and Prizes

Several of the games will give out tickets based on score, those tickets can be exchanged for prizes like: Playing Cards, Statues, Nerf Guns and even functioning mini arcades!

Virtual Reality

We have a state-of-the-art Valve Index available in our VR room which can be booked out at a flat rate for half hour for $25 or hour long sessions for $45. Unfortunately due to the headset requirements, this room will be only available for those 13 years and older.
